Why a Palestinian State is and will be a farce.

Refugees will not be citizens of new state. Imagine an ambassador who is supposed to represent a group of people telling the whole world that his group of people will not automatically become citizens of the new state they have wished for a long time, because they are refugees. That is exactly what the Palestinian ambassador to Lebanon unequivocally told the whole world. This simply shows that the campaign for a new Palestinian state is nothing but a reopening salvo of the long running Israeli-Arab war. The Palestinian state is just a sacrificial pawn for the Arab League, and Israeli leaders know this. Recognition of a Palestinian state by UN, without having them renounce violence against Israel is tantamount to an implicit declaration of war against the latter. History will repeat itself, and the war for the survival of the state of Israel will consume everything that gets involved in it.

The Palestinian issue is merely an extension of the Israeli-Arab conflict in the 20th century. The UN is extremely biased, forgetful of the past, and extremely useless in face of the Arab lobby. Poor Palestinians are too short sighted to see that they are just being used by those who wants Israel to be wiped out off the face of the earth.

Eating at Komrad Mao’s

Komrad Mao is a new restaurant at Eastwood City. It serves Szechuan and Hunan cuisine. I had lunch with the family there today and ordered three dishes: Komrad fried rice(宮保雞飯), pork belly stew (Dong po rou 東坡肉) , and siomai. I was not very satisfied with the food. The pork belly in the stew was not as tender as I would have expected it to be. It should have been solid but tender, where the fat would almost melt with the meat. The fried rice was mostly rice and sauce, chicken bits here and there (One can count the bits). Then the siomai was a bit dry, you will need some sauce to eat it. It would take me some time before I will go back and have lunch or dinner there again. Deal-breaker for me was the pork belly stew.

Looks like it’s about time to move to Scientific Linux 6.1… CentOS 5.6 is getting a bit behind packages, and I don’t want to compile my own latest PHP version. CentOS 6.0 is lagging behind patches, and its version 6.1 isn’t even out.

Obama’s ill-planned Mideast peace plan

Obama’s inane proposal that Israel move back to pre-1967 borders in exchange for a Palestinian state and peace is an exercise in wishful thinking and deliberate ignorance. In all of the Arab-Israeli wars from 1948 to 1973, Israel has never been the aggressor. On contrary, the Arab nations kept beating the war drums, promising to wipe out Israel and drench its soil with blood. When the Arab nations failed miserably in their boasts to do as they promised, they made use of the Arabs living in Palestine as proxies in their continuing war against Israel. One sure thing that Obama is intentionally ignoring is that none of the Arab nations aside from Egypt and Jordan have signed a peace treaty with Israel, neither have they rescinded their vows to wipe out Israel. Does he really think that the presence of a Palestinian state will put an end to the travails in the Middle East?

If the US was placed in the current situation of Israel, would she condone the creation of a hostile state right at her very doorstep? A state that is headed by people vowing to eliminate her existence? There has never been a Palestinian state in the past, nor should there should be one. For if there will be one such state, it is nothing but an artificial construct, a proxy, a sacrificial puppet for those in power in the Arab world to manipulate in pursuit of their ultimate goal of eradicating the democratic state of Israel.

Bin Laden: Terminated with extreme prejudice

Just the plain reporting, without fanfare, now that Bin Laden is finally killed , it brings to a close to the tragedy of 9/11 bombing. Those European nations that advocate a trial for Bin Laden seems to miss the point that in doing so, they themselves will be providing a very public platform that would only serve to fan the flames of radical Islam, raising the ghost of the Crusades during the Middle Ages.

Witch hunt at the Senate

This zarzuela smacks of McCarthyism Filipino-style. An “honorable” senator , in the so-called “aid of legislation”, accuses people of being guilty based on the testimonies of whistleblowers. Isn’t that the judiciary is responsible for passing judgment as provided in the Constitution? Where are the hard evidences? Was there an extensive investigation conducted to (dis)prove the allegations? Another senator goes rambo, wanting to call in the families of the accused for questioning, regarding the acquisition of houses abroad. How conveniently forgetting that the Constitution protects the right of a person against self-incrimination and that all accused are considered innocent until proven guilty. This senate hearings are nothing but a witch hunt and grandstanding by those self-righteous pricks

If ever there is an outbreak of war in SEA, guess who’s going to be the most likely target of the PLAAF (People’s Liberation Army Air Force)? With Spratly Islands as the flashpoint, Mampalaya Gas Field as large inviting shark bait, and with repeated insistence that the whole of South China Sea is under Chinese sovereignty coupled with the non-existent combat ability of the Philippine Air Force, the Philippines is a prime target of opportunity. In addition, the potential presence of a fifth column consisting of those mainland Chinese immigrants, makes it very plausible that we will be forcibly annexed first in the name of Chinese hegemony.
